Washington hiking trails - Moraine Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Pierce County

   
  Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and Moraine Trail in Pierce County, Washington is just what you need. Hiking and backpacking trails are nice and plentiful in Washington; Moraine Trail in Pierce County is one of them. Moraine Trail is a long tour away from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, but what a wonderful site for backcountry hiking it is. This hike shouldn't take more than 2 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. The number of wilderness hiking trails
    in this region is not very high. Moraine Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole backcountry hiking trail. Backcountry hiking here in the Northern Cascade Range is the best way to enjoy these
hills. Moraine Trail is not that long but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. Moraine Trail is a one trailhead wilderness trail, so in and out is the way to backcountry walk it normally. Moraine Trail is a pretty wet site mostly with much rain; the month with most of the rain is November, and July is when it's the driest. Backcountry hiking in Washington is such a glorious thing to do. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in site. Moraine Trail is on the short side with an average amount  
of climbing distance which makes it a great wilderness hiking trail for the average person looking for a great adventure. Backcountry backpacking here in Washington is a magnificent idea. This wilderness trail has a total elevation difference of 452 feet which is lower than average. Each hiking trail in Washington is different from the others. At Moraine Trail during the summer highs are in the 70's while overnight lows are mostly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Moraine Trail plunge into the 30's. Being 2.4 miles long it's shorter than many backcountry hiking trails.

Briefly about the general area:
A river like this is too good to miss. Why not camp at Longmire Campground while you're here at Moraine Trail, and the views at Mount Rainier National Park will blow your mind. Narada Falls is an inspiring site to explore while here, and camping is available at Cougar Rock Campground.
You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the Northern Cascade Range has to offer. A short journey to Washington Cascades is always worthwhile. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! The Northern Cascade Range is unbeatable! Why not explore nearby Pebble Creek while you're here at Moraine Trail, and Paradise Park is a perfect site to check out. So many amusing things to do at Moraine Trail, so little time. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Skate Creek; if you're here, you could pop by Edith Creek.
While staying at Moraine Trail you could always look at Wilson Gully, and get covered with water paddling on Butter Creek.
