Washington hiking trails - Minnie Meadows Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Yakima County

   
  Here in the perfect state of Washington backcountry trekking never gets boring. Minnie Meadows Trail is not very close to Ellensburg at all, but backcountry hiking is such an enjoyable thing to do, and this is a good spot to do that. There are numerous hiking trails in Washington, and each one has something unique to offer. Keep in mind that this is a long great outdoors trail, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can hike it just one way. Minnie
    Meadows Trail gets a large amount of water; throughout January this area sees the most snow; the driest month of the year is July. The time needed for this hike is roughly 6 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. There are many perfect hiking trails
in Washington; one of them being Minnie Meadows Trail in Yakima County. Finally, backcountry hiking time is here again, and Minnie Meadows Trail in Yakima County, Washington is just the spot. These backpacking trails here in the Northern Cascade Range are a really glorious way to spend quality time in nature. on different parts of the trail. For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Minnie Meadows Trail get into the 60's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and night lows throughout the wintertime for Minnie Meadows Trail tend to be in the 10's. Being 6.6 miles long it's a mid length hike. Outdoors folks generally like this part of Washington. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. This backpacking trail is a mid length backpacking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a magnificent trail for experienced trekkers in good shape. This is a region covered with lots of trails.

While you're here at Minnie Meadows Trail it's a good idea to take a look at Minnie Meadows, and some of the water nearby flows, like Bear Creek.
Just can't get enough of the Northern Cascade Range. There's so much to do here at Minnie Meadows Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Rimrock Public Campground and Boat Landing is a tremendous location for that, and Tieton River - South Fork is a great whitewater spot nearby. This is a really good river. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Minnie Meadows Trail has to offer, you can camp at Grey Creek Campground, and swing by Discovery Creek it's a brilliant spot to explore.
