Mink Lake Trail is located a quite lengthy drive from Port Angeles, but hiking is such a fun thing to do, and this is a magnificent location to do that. A lot of rainfall falls at Mink Lake Trail; the month with most of the rain is November, and July is the month with the least moisture. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping.
    This backcountry trail is a normal length backcountry trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this backcountry hiking trail splendid for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. The total elevation difference for this great outdoors hiking trail is 2,790
feet, and that is higher than average. With its 7.8 miles of walking distance it's a mid length trek. Mink Lake Trail is a one trailhead great outdoors hiking trail, so in and out is the way to hike it normally. This trek shouldn't take more than 7 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Mink Lake Trail. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; night lows in the 30's for Mink Lake Trail.

Be careful coming to Mink Lake Trail, you might not ever want to return back home again. Here at Mink Lake Trail there are plenty of folks from Port Angeles. It's always good to have a look at Sol Duc Falls; there are some great whitewater spots on Soleduck River.
Visit Blackwood Creek while you're here at Mink Lake Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Soleduck Campground is a nice site to camp. That right there is a heap of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Olympic Mountains has it all. While you're here at Mink Lake Trail it's a good idea to explore Bogachiel Park; naturally Munden Creek is a charming stream that is worth taking a look at. If you come at the right time of year, Soleduck River - North Fork offers some tremendous whitewater, and Hoh Campground is a glorious local campground.
