Washington hiking trails - Mink Lake Trail, Olympic Mountains, Clallam County

   
  Every Washington trail is well worth a walk. It's a lengthy drive from Port Angeles to Mink Lake Trail, but it is one of many great hiking and backpacking trails in this neighborhood. You should count on this backcountry hike taking
    about 7 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. There are so many wilderness trails in this area. A large amount of rain falls at Mink Lake Trail; November is when you get the most rain here, and July on the other hand is
the driest. Keep in mind that this is a long hiking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. There are trails all over Washington; one of them being Mink Lake Trail in Clallam County. Different parts of this great outdoors hiking trail are at very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the great outdoors hiking trail could be very different from other parts of it. As long as you like the wilderness you will like Washington. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. This hiking trail has only one  
trailhead, so in and out is the way to hike it normally. The total elevation difference for Mink Lake Trail is 2,790 feet which is higher than average. You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while, and Mink Lake Trail in Clallam County, Washington is the wilderness at its best. Through the warm months highs here at Mink Lake Trail reach the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. Throughout the wintertime highs are mostly in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Mink Lake Trail through the wintertime mostly fall into the 30's.

Briefly about the general area:
Bogachiel Park is a lovely location any time of year, and camping at Mink Lake Trail is wonderful fun, Soleduck Campground is a wonderful local campground. In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Soleduck River, and Hoh Campground is a splendid campground here.
You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Olympic Mountains. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Sol Duc Falls; obviously Munden Creek flows through this area. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a splendid time here at Mink Lake Trail. Lots of folks from Port Angeles come to Mink Lake Trail. A quick tour to Blackwood Creek in close proximity to Mink Lake Trail is a splendid idea, and Soleduck River - North Fork is a fine whitewater spot close by.
