Ingalls Creek has a delightful whitewater paddling spot nearby, and paddling on Teanaway River - North Fork is so much fun. Any time is a great time at Miller Peak Trail if you like the outdoors.
The fine folks of Ellensburg like to hang out nearby, and do set aside some time for Gold Creek Basin while you're here at Miller Peak Trail. All the outdoors exciting stuff in the Northern Cascade Range will keep you coming back time and again. Camping at Park Campground is always a nice experience; getting to North Fork Bear Creek from Miller Peak Trail is painless.
