Mill Creek Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,222 feet which is about average. Being 5.4 miles long it's a mid length backcountry trek. This is a two-ended great outdoors trail with two trailheads, so trekking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. You should count on this hike taking about 5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. This vicinity does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. You spend the whole backcountry trek in roughly the same elevation zone, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your backcountry trek. Mill Creek Trail is not that long but it's always wonderful to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen.
