Washington hiking trails - Meadow Creek Trail, Blue Mountains, Columbia County

   
  In Washington you never run out of outdoors fun. Meadow Creek Trail is a hiking trail rather far from La Grande, but many folks like to backcountry trek here to be right next door to the great outdoors. Backcountry backpacking in Washington is so much fun. Meadow Creek Trail is a two ended wilderness trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can hike it just one way. This walk shouldn't take more than 7 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Meadow Creek Trail has a total
    elevation difference of 1,798 feet, and that is about average. You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while, and if you happen to be in Columbia County of Washington, Meadow Creek Trail is a splendid local hiking trail for doing a bit of leg stretching.
Sometimes this great outdoors trail gets really dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Different parts of this great outdoors trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Meadow Creek Trail gets very little precipitation; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. Trail is a mid-length backpacking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a nice backcountry trail for experienced trekkers in wonderful shape. This is a long great outdoors trail, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. For the duration of the summer at Meadow Creek Trail temperatures are regularly in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's, and overnight lows at Meadow Creek Trail through the wintertime mostly plunge into the 20's. There are so many fine backpacking trails for backcountry trekking in Washington, and one of those is Meadow Creek Trail in Columbia County. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. With its 8 miles of walking distance it's a mid length walk. There are numerous backpacking trails in Washington, and each one has its own unique prettiness. The backpacking trails of the Blue Mountains are the best way to enjoy these mountaintops.

Man, is there lots of enjoyable stuff to do in the Blue Mountains. Meadow Creek Trail is a brilliant site to visit for more than one day, Teepee Campground is a brilliant site to camp nearby, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Little Turkey Spring. Patrick Spring is an inspiring spot to stop by during your stay.
Stay the night at Tepee Campground, and it's a fine idea to stop by Meadow Creek. Happy Valley is a nice site to explore close by, and a quick tour to Turkey Creek is beyond doubt a great idea.
