you have to go backpacking. McAllister Trail gets a lot of water; all through January this region sees the most snow, and the driest month is July.

Indian Creek Meadows is a scenic place any time of year; if you came to camp Grey Creek
Campground is a fine spot to do that. So many enjoyable things to do here in the Northern Cascade Range, too fine to be true. In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tieton River - South Fork. There's so much to do here at McAllister
Trail that you need to camp here for a while, White Pass Campground is a nice location for that.
American River has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by.
