| | same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole backpacking trail. You should count on this backcountry hike taking about 4 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Washington is a glorious outdoors state. Being 4.6 miles long it's a mid length walk. Around Marias Creek Trail you don’t get a lot of rain; December is when you get the most snow here, and the driest month of the year is July.
