    different parts of the wilderness trail. Maple Mountain Trail is a mid-length wilderness trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a magnificent hiking trail for experienced backcountry trekkers in wonderful shape. There are backcountry hiking trails all over
Washington, and one of those is Maple Mountain Trail in Okanogan County. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in site. This backcountry hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 1,620 feet, and that is about average. Outdoors folks generally like this part of Washington. This is one of many hiking trails in the surrounding region. Maple Mountain Trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be backcountry hiking it in and back out. Now this backpacking and hiking trail is pretty long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies.  
All through the warm months at Maple Mountain Trail highs are mostly in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Maple Mountain Trail. Being 7.8 miles long it's a mid length walk. The time needed for this trek is roughly 7 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. It is very dried out here at Maple Mountain Trail commonly; the month with most of the snow is December while October is commonly the driest month. Sometimes this backpacking and hiking trail gets really dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire.

Stay the night at Ferry Lake Campground, and of course Gardner Creek flows through this region. This is such a great river.
Sweat Creek Campground is a magnificent campground here, and a quick tour to Maple Creek is absolutely a pleasant idea.
