There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end which means you have the option of hiking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. This backcountry hike shouldn't take more than 2.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. With its 2.6 miles of walking distance it's a short hiking and backpacking trail. The total elevation difference for Lusk Creek Trail is 780 feet which is a lower than average number. There's not much difference in elevation along Lusk Creek Trail, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole hiking and backpacking trail. Lusk Creek Trail is not that long but it's always pleasant to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen.
