wilderness trail is different from the others. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in location. Through the warm months at Lovers Lane temperatures are usually in the 70's while night lows are generally in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in
the 40's while Lovers Lane night low temperatures through the winter are in the 30's. These great outdoors hiking trails here in the Olympic Mountains are the best way to enjoy these highlands. There's not much difference in elevation along Lovers Lane which means the conditions
are about the same from start to finish. You should count on this backcountry hike taking about 6 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster.
Briefly about the general area: You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining
stuff in the Olympic Mountains. Canyon Creek flows through this vicinity, and there are plenty of folks from Port Angeles here. That right there is a lot already, but it goes on; Lovers Lane has it all. Bogachiel Park is right here at Lovers Lane. Blackwood Creek is a stream
that you may run into during your stay; there's whitewater on Lyre River for all you adrenaline junkies. There are some good whitewater spots on Soleduck River - North Fork, and you can stay the night at Soleduck Campground. Sol Duc Falls is a pleasant local attraction. There's so much to do here at Lovers Lane that you need to camp here for a while, Fairholme Campground is a great location for that.
