Washington backcountry backpacking is an outstanding way to spend some time. Throughout the summertime months at Lost Lake Trail temperatures are regularly in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. High temperatures through the
winter are normally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Lost Lake Trail. The pretty backpacking and hiking trails of the Northern Cascade Range are a really great way to spend quality time in nature. Lost Lake Trail has a total elevation difference of 2,942
feet which is higher than average. The length of this backpacking and hiking trail is on the longer side having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough backcountry hiking trail for advanced trekkers looking for a glorious challenge. Don’t forget to check
for any current restrictions or closures before you go.
Briefly about the general area: Big Crow Basin is a great spot; a fine location to camp here at Lost Lake Trail is The Dalles Campground. That right there is lots already, but it goes on; Lost Lake Trail has it
all. A short spree to Silver Springs is always worthwhile, and do take some time to explore White River Ranger District while you're here. This place, the Northern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Corral Pass is a good place to stop at near Lost Lake Trail.
Whitewater paddling is great on Greenwater River, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try George Creek. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Northern Cascade Range. A visit to Little Crow Basin revives the soul, and Lost Lake Trail is great enough to
spend more than a day at, Dry Creek Campground is a great local campground. White River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot close by, and getting to Hardwood Creek from Lost Lake Trail is simple.
