This region does get very dry sometimes, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. During the long summer days at Long Ridge Trail highs are commonly in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's
    generally in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's; overnight lows in the 30's for Long Ridge Trail. There is only one trailhead, so you'll be backcountry backpacking it in and back out. The backcountry trails of the Olympic Mountains are the best way to
enjoy these summits. Long Ridge Trail gets a large amount of water; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily December, that's the one that rains the most while July is ordinarily the driest month. This trail has a total elevation difference of 5,708 feet which is higher than average. The length of Long Ridge Trail is on the longer side having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a wonderful backcountry hiking trail for experienced walkers in glorious shape. Now this hiking trail is pretty long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies.  
Every single Washington great outdoors trail is well worth a backcountry trek. Gotta get out of the city man, and Long Ridge Trail in Clallam County, Washington is just what you need. Different parts of this wilderness hiking trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. This is just one of a large number of backcountry hiking trails in this vicinity. Long Ridge Trail is a hiking and backpacking trail pretty far from Port Angeles, but backcountry trekking along this hiking and backpacking trail is very enjoyable. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. This walk should take you about 6 days, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. Being 40.2 miles long; it's longer than many wilderness hiking trails.

Yep, outdoors amusing things to do are really abundant here at Long Ridge Trail. All our national parks are brilliant places to visit, and Olympic National Park is no exception, and Press Valley is a perfect place here at Long Ridge Trail. So much cool stuff in the Olympic Mountains, just tremendous. If you're here at Long Ridge Trail, do take a tour to Angeles Point; a quick spree to Fairchild Creek is certainly a fine idea.
Long Ridge Trail is a splendid site to camp, Altair Campgrounds is a splendid site; everyone loves Krause Bottom. If you come to this river you will have a good time for sure. Stay the night at Arney's Dam RV Park, and in case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Elwha River.
Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Olympic Mountains. Lillian River flows through this region, and Soleduck Ranger District is a pleasant local forest. At this river you will never have a bad time. Winslow Spring is a nice local attraction, and Elwha River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. Grand Canyon is a good location to check out close by; Service Falls is always fun to check out.
