    an average number. This backcountry walk should take you about 2 days, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. Little Wildcat Trail is a very long backcountry trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough wilderness hiking trail
for advanced backcountry hikers looking for a magnificent challenge. This is a long wilderness trail, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. Here in Washington backcountry backpacking is the perfect thing to do. Little Wildcat Trail is not very near Ellensburg at all, but when you spend some time backcountry trekking here you will feel like a whole new person. Being 13.6 miles long; it's considered a longer backcountry walk. Hey, time for a backcountry walk don’t you think? Little Wildcat Trail in Yakima County, Washington is a great site to go.  
This backpacking and hiking trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to backcountry walk it normally. All through the summer, highs generally are in the 60's at Little Wildcat Trail. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and night lows all through the winter for Little Wildcat Trail tend to be in the 10's. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. Backcountry trails like this one here in the Northern Cascade Range are a really pleasant way to spend quality time in the outdoors. This trail goes through some very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the trail could be very different from other parts of it.

Briefly about the general area:
You simply have to fancy the Northern Cascade Range. Having a wonderful time at Little Wildcat Trail is trouble-free. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Tieton River - South Fork. There's so much to do here at Little Wildcat Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Rimrock Public Campground and Boat Landing is a splendid location for that.
Coming to this river is always a good idea. A pleasant journey to Fox Meadow is a magnificent way to spend an afternoon, and Little Wildcat Trail is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Twelve West Resort is a fine local campground. These mountains rock, just check out all the enjoyable things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. McNeil Creek is a pretty stream that is worth checking out; get your heart pumping on the perfect whitewater of Bumping River. Rattlesnake Meadows is a nice spot to stretch your legs a bit, and Silver Salmon Cove is very near and is a wonderful place to visit.
Don't forget to take a good little trip to Little Wildcat Creek, and a spree to Indian Spring will fill your soul with great feelings.
