This hiking trail is a very short hiking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this trail wonderful for the average hiker looking for an exciting adventure. Little White Salmon Trail is a two ended backpacking and hiking trail with two trailheads which means
you have the option of trekking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. This backcountry hike shouldn't take more than 1.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. The trail stays roughly within the
same elevation zone the whole time, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your trek.

a perfect location to camp, Ice Cave Campground is a perfect location. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Little White Salmon Trail has to offer, you can camp at Elk Meadows RV Park, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Hood River here.
