The hiking trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. Little White Salmon Trail is 1.8 miles long it's shorter than many hiking trails. This backcountry trek shouldn't take more than 1.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. The total elevation difference for this trail is 1,325 feet which is an average number. Sometimes this backcountry hiking trail gets really dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Little White Salmon Trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of hiking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. Even though this is not a very long backcountry hiking trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens.
