River Trail a wet location; the wettest month of the year is commonly December, that's the one that rains the most; July is when it's the driest. Now this backpacking and hiking trail is pretty long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. There are two trailheads to chose from,
one in each end which means you have the option of backcountry trekking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in location. A lengthy journey separates Port Angeles from Little River Trail,
but there's brilliant natural loveliness right here for you along it. This trek should take you about 2 days, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. This trail has a total elevation difference of 5,188 feet which is higher than average.
Briefly about the
general area: Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things near Little River Trail. Everybody loves Krause Bottom, and whitewater paddling is good on Elwha River. Visit Cowen Creek if you're here at Little River Trail; why not camp at Heart of the Hills Campground if you're
here at Little River Trail. Camping is available at Welcome Inn Trailer Court/rv, and Cox Valley is a delightful site. Now, you may imagine that's heaps but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Olympic Mountains. If you're here, you might as well stop at Grand Canyon,
and Winslow Spring is an inspiring place to take a look at during your stay. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Elwha River, and while you're here, do take a spree to Ediz Hook. And if that's not sufficient there's a lot more amusing
stuff to do in the Olympic Mountains. Olympic National Park is a pleasant national park, and don't forget to take a perfect little tour to South Branch Little River.
