Sometimes this hiking trail gets really dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Briefly about the general area: So much exciting stuff in the Northern Cascade Range, just astonishing. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on White Salmon River; you can stay the night at Ice Cave Campground. During your spree to Little Baldy Trail you'll
meet some people from Hood River for sure. Getting to Middle Fork Buck Creek from Little Baldy Trail is uncomplicated. There's so much to do here at Little Baldy Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Elk Meadows RV Park is a good place for that. Looking for some flowing water? Try North Fork Buck Creek, and needless to say, A tour to McIlroy Saddle is always fun.
