Washington hiking trails - Lily Basin Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Lewis County       While visiting this area in Washington it's a tremendous idea to go backpacking too. Here in Washington backpacking is so much fun. Every hiking trail in Washington is worth backpacking. Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and Lily Basin Trail in Lewis County, Washington is a glorious choice. At Lily Basin Trail during the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. During the winter highs are ordinarily in the 30's with temperatures at Lily Basin Trail dipping     down into the 20's throughout winter nights. Lily Basin Trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be hiking it in and back out. There are many perfect hiking trails in Washington, and one of those is Lily Basin Trail in Lewis County. This is one of many wilderness trails in the surrounding area. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. Lily Basin Trail is a very long wilderness trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough wilderness trail for advanced backcountry walkers looking for a splendid challenge. With its 18.6 miles of walking distance; it's a long backpacking trail. This trail has a total elevation difference of 2,458 feet which is about average. Great outdoors trails like this one here in the Northern Cascade Range are a very delightful way to see these summits.   Keep in mind that this is a long great outdoors trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Now, this is roughly a 3-day walk, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. Relatively far from Hood River you come across Lily Basin Trail, but backcountry backpacking it is tremendous amusement any time. Some parts of Lily Basin Trail are much higher up than other parts of the backpacking trail, and that means that some parts of the backpacking trail could be very different from other parts of it. Much rainfall falls at Lily Basin Trail; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow while July is mostly the driest month. Briefly about the general area: Some nearby water includes Saddle Creek, and Snowgrass Flat is a gorgeous place any time of year. A short spree to Jennings Falls is always worthwhile, and Hawkeye Point is not far at all. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Northern Cascade Range. Hidden Spring is a striking location to explore while you're at Lily Basin Trail, and get wet paddling on Cispus River. You simply must like Lily Basin Trail. Goat Creek is close to Lily Basin Trail and is always a delight to stop at; Packwood Saddle is another tremendous spot to take a look at close by. All year is a magnificent time in the Northern Cascade Range if you adore the outdoors. Lily Basin Trail is a fine spot to visit for more than one day, Knuppenburg Lake Campground is a fine spot to camp nearby, and a pleasant journey to Jordan Basin is a delightful way to spend an afternoon. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Cowlitz River - Clear Fork, and Chambers Lake Campground is a good local campground.
