Sometimes this trail gets really dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. You should count on this hike taking about 5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Laws Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,006 feet, and that is about average. Laws Trail is not that long but it's always nice to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. There's not much difference in elevation along the trail, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole trail. With its 5.4 miles of walking distance it's an average length trail. Laws Trail is a two ended great outdoors hiking trail with two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry trekking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end.
