  Going for a walk here in Washington is so much fun. Can’t wait to get out in the great outdoors, Lake Trail in Lewis County, Washington is an excellent selection. Every Washington wilderness hiking trail is stunning in its own way. Lake Trail ordinarily gets much rain; most of the snow falls through January, and July is when it's the driest. Keep in mind that this is a long hiking trail, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. Lake Trail is a very long way away from civilization, and what an excellent place for trekking it is. Lake Trail is a
    one trailhead backpacking and hiking trail, so in and out is the way to hike it normally. There are so many hiking trails in this vicinity. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in site. This backpacking and hiking trail has a total elevation difference
of 1,640 feet which is about average. With its 10.8 miles of walking distance; it's longer than many trails. The wonderful great outdoors trails of the Northern Cascade Range are a very wonderful way to see these hills. As long as you like the great outdoors you will like Washington. Different parts of Lake Trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Of course, this is an overnight trek, 1.5 days normally, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. Lake Trail is many  
miles long with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough hiking trail for advanced backcountry walkers looking for an outstanding challenge. Wilderness hiking trails for backcountry hiking, and backpacking can be found all over Washington, and Lake Trail in Lewis County is one of them. Through the months of summer highs here at Lake Trail reach the 60's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Lake Trail.

Briefly about the general area:
This site, the Northern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors cool stuff. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Fish Ladder Falls, and nearby you stumble on Cortright Point. Log Spring is an inspiring spot to go to during your stay, and in case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cowlitz River - Clear Fork.
A wooded neighborhood near Lake Trail is Gifford Pinchot National Forest, and Pony Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out. All the outdoors fun stuff close to Lake Trail will keep you coming back time and again. Lake Trail is good enough to spend more than a day at, Knuppenburg Lake Campground is a good local campground, and Summit Creek is a great whitewater spot nearby. There's so much to do here at Lake Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Soda Springs Campground is a great place for that; a good site is Carlton Pass.
So much entertaining stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not enough time. Allred Creek is a stream that you may bump into during your stay.
