Washington hiking trails - Lake Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Lewis County

   
  Many miles from the least distant settlement you have Lake Trail, and you always have a brilliant time when you're backcountry hiking along it. Each backcountry hiking trail in Washington is different from the others. Backcountry trekking here in Washington is so much fun. This is a wilderness hiking trail that is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. We all need to get out in the fresh air once in a while, and if you happen to be in Lewis County of Washington, Lake Trail is a brilliant local hiking trail for doing a bit of leg stretching.
    Lake Trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to backcountry trek it normally. Lake Trail goes through some very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the backcountry hiking trail could be very different from other parts of it. This part of Washington
has a good deal of available outdoors pursuits. This is one of many trails in the surrounding neighborhood. Backpacking and hiking trails are fine and plentiful in Washington, and Lake Trail in Lewis County is one of them. Now, this is roughly a 1.5-day hike, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. The total elevation difference for Lake Trail is 1,640 feet which is about average. Being 10.8 miles long; it's a long backcountry hiking trail. Great outdoors trails like this one here in the Northern Cascade Range are a very great way to  
see these mountaintops. High temperatures at Lake Trail during the warmest time of the year are in the 60's, and the night is a tad colder of course, regularly in the 40's. Through the winter highs are regularly in the 30's with temperatures at Lake Trail dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Trail a wet location; most of the snow falls through January while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The length of Lake Trail is on the longer side having an average number of uphill miles which makes this trail pleasant for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in spot.

Briefly about the general area:
Man, is there plenty of entertaining things to do close to Lake Trail. Log Spring is always fun to check out, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on Cowlitz River - Clear Fork. Having a good time in the Northern Cascade Range is uncomplicated. A short trip to Fish Ladder Falls is always worthwhile, and why not camp at Knuppenburg Lake Campground if you're here at Lake Trail.
Not far from Lake Trail you locate Cortright Point, and in case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Summit Creek. in the neighborhood of Lake Trail you'll come across a wooded area called Gifford Pinchot National Forest; why not take a little trip to Allred Creek since you're here. This is such a fun river. Getting to Pony Creek from Lake Trail is easy, and a magnificent place close by is Carlton Pass.
But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. A pleasant place to camp here at Lake Trail is Soda Springs Campground.
