Quite far from Hood River you come upon Klickitat Trail, but if you're looking for an excellent spot to go backcountry trekking, this is an excellent pick. Washington has plenty of great wilderness hiking trails, and one of those is Klickitat Trail in Lewis County. You should count on this backcountry walk taking about 3.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could
    get stuck so be prepared for that. The number of great outdoors hiking trails in this neighborhood is not very high. Klickitat Trail gets lots of water; December is the month that gets the most snow, and July is the month with the least moisture. Here in the great state of Washington
backcountry backpacking is something that is always fun to do. Being 4.2 miles long it's an average length wilderness trail. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. Klickitat Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your backcountry walk. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Klickitat Trail while overnight lows are typically in the 40's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's, and overnight lows at Klickitat Trail  
all through the winter typically sink into the 20's. These wilderness trails here in the Northern Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these mountaintops. Every wilderness hiking trail in Washington is stunning in its own way. Even though this is not a very long wilderness hiking trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. This backpacking trail has a total elevation difference of 1,263 feet which is an average number. Klickitat Trail is a one trailhead backpacking trail, so you'll be backpacking it in and back out. This wilderness trail is a mid length wilderness trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it an outstanding great outdoors hiking trail for the average person looking for an outstanding adventure.

If you're here at Klickitat Trail, you could pop by Swede Creek, and Klickitat Trail is a delightful place to camp, Naco West is a delightful place. This river is a wonderful place to visit. Irish Creek flows through this region, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Cispus River - North Fork.
Dry Creek Pass is a great location to discover, and get your pulse rate up on the perfect whitewater of Cispus River. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Klickitat Trail. Don't miss out on a visit to Mount Rainier National Park if you're here at Klickitat Trail. Burton Meadows is a scenic site any time of year; you can stay the night at Maple Leaf Campground.
