Washington hiking trails - Kelly Butte Trail, Northern Cascade Range, King County

   
  Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and if you happen to be in King County of Washington, Kelly Butte Trail is a glorious local hiking trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. There are many great hiking and backpacking trails in Washington; Kelly Butte Trail in King County is one of them. Each hiking and backpacking trail in Washington is worth trekking. All the water falling down from the sky makes Kelly Butte Trail a wet location; most of the rain falls throughout December, and July is when it's the driest. A visit
    to Washington is not complete without some backcountry backpacking. Kelly Butte Trail is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. This is a two-ended hiking trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry trek it just one way.
During the days of summer highs here at Kelly Butte Trail get into the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Kelly Butte Trail are in the 30's. Some parts of this great outdoors trail are much higher up than other parts of the great outdoors trail which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the great outdoors trail. With its 9.6 miles of walking distance; it's longer than many great outdoors trails. You should count on this backcountry  
walk taking about 8.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Because Kelly Butte Trail is very far away from society, it is one of many great hiking trails in this neighborhood. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in site. The total elevation difference for this hiking trail is 4,421 feet which is a higher than average number. Hiking here in Washington is always an exciting thing to do. Backcountry hiking trails like this one here in the Northern Cascade Range are a nice way to explore these summits. This is a vicinity covered with lots of wilderness trails. Kelly Butte Trail is a very long backpacking and hiking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this wilderness trail brilliant for hard core backpackers looking for adventure.

Camping at The Dalles Campground is always a glorious experience, and swing by Lester Creek it's a great place to stop at.
All the outdoors cool things in the Northern Cascade Range will keep you coming back over and over. A glorious spot to camp here at Kelly Butte Trail is Dry Creek Campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend White River. Take a side trip to Sawmill Creek, and if you come at the right time of year, Greenwater River offers some great whitewater.
