Washington hiking trails - Keenan Meadows Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Klickitat County       Going for a backcountry walk here in Washington is so much fun. If you are in Washington during backpacking season you have to go backpacking. Washington has plenty of wonderful great outdoors trails, and one of these is Keenan Meadows Trail in Klickitat County. You'll must go far from Ellensburg to get to Keenan Meadows Trail, but if you're looking for a wonderful place to go trekking, this is a wonderful selection. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end which means you have the option of backcountry trekking it one way if you have     someone to pick you up at the other end. Summertime highs at Keenan Meadows Trail generally tend to be in the 60's while nighttime lows are usually in the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's while Keenan Meadows Trail nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. Keenan Meadows Trail is 5.8 miles long it's an average length wilderness hiking trail. Keenan Meadows Trail is a normal length wilderness trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a good trail for the average person looking for a good adventure. This backcountry trek shouldn't take more than 5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. This backcountry trail has a total elevation difference of 826 feet which is a lower than average number. Keenan Meadows   Trail is not that long but it's always glorious to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. The high level of precipitation makes Keenan Meadows Trail a quite wet site; the wettest month of the year is typically January, that's the one that snows the most, and the driest month is July. There are plenty of great outdoors trails in Washington; each one of them is beautiful in its own way. There's not much difference in elevation along Keenan Meadows Trail, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole wilderness hiking trail. This is one of a very small number of trails in this region. Can’t wait to get out in nature, Keenan Meadows Trail in Klickitat County, Washington is a wonderful place for getting out. Trekking here in the Northern Cascade Range is a really great way to spend quality time in the fresh air. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. Briefly about the general area: If you came to camp Tamarack Spring Campground is a wonderful site to do that, and float down the rapids of Cle Elum River in a kayak. A tour to Tripod Flat invigorates the soul, and Rocky Saddle is also a pleasant place to discover. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Cascade Range. Keenan Meadows Trail is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Squaw Rock Resort and RV Park is a wonderful local campground; get yourself into a kayak and hit Rattlesnake Creek - Naches Tributary. Keenan Meadows is a pleasant place to check out; there are plenty of people from Ellensburg here at Keenan Meadows Trail. If only every place had this much outdoors exciting stuff, what a great planet it would be.
