Being 13.4 miles long; it's longer than many hiking trails. Of course, this is an overnight walk, 2 days normally, so it's a tremendous thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job. Jug Lake Trail is quite long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. This backcountry trail has a total elevation difference of 1,307 feet which is an average number. There's not much difference in elevation along the hiking trail, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole hiking trail. This is a one trailhead backcountry trail, so you're looking at an in and out backcountry trek.
