Ironstone Mountain Trail has a total elevation difference of 2,130 feet, and that is about average. There is only one trailhead, so you'll be backcountry hiking it in and back out. This backcountry trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. This backcountry trek shouldn't take more than 6.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Ironstone Mountain Trail is 7.6 miles long it's a mid length hike. Keep in mind that this is a long wilderness hiking trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies.
