Washington hiking trails - Icicle Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Chelan County

   
  There are numerous great outdoors hiking trails in Washington, and each one has its own character. Trails are nice and plentiful in Washington, and Icicle Trail in Chelan County is one of them. Quite far from Ellensburg you bump into Icicle Trail, but backcountry trekking along this wilderness trail is very amusing. If you are in Washington during backcountry backpacking season you have to go backcountry backpacking. Icicle Trail sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month with most of the snow is January while July is frequently the driest month.
    Here in Washington hiking is a tremendous idea. The total elevation difference for Icicle Trail is 7,313 feet, and that is higher than average. Some parts of Icicle Trail are much higher up than other parts of the great outdoors trail, and that means that some parts of the great
outdoors trail could be very different from other parts of it. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Icicle Trail is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Backcountry backpacking here in the Northern Cascade Range is the best way to enjoy these hills. This wilderness hiking trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry backpacking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. Icicle Trail is 65.4 miles long; it's longer than many great outdoors trails. Icicle Trail is a backcountry  
trail of nice length with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a fine great outdoors hiking trail for experienced backcountry walkers in delightful shape. This is one of many great outdoors hiking trails in the surrounding area. This backcountry hike should take you about 10 days, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. During the days of summer, highs typically are in the 60's at Icicle Trail with overnight lows in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Icicle Trail plunge into the 10's. Drury Falls is a tremendous local attraction; Lake Lorraine Point is very near and is a fine place to check out. Why not camp at Johnny Creek Campground if you're here at Icicle Trail, and close by you stumble on wonderful sites like Ladies Pass.
But wait, there's more to do close to Icicle Trail. Soda Spring is a pretty place to explore while you're at Icicle Trail; don’t forget to visit Timothy Meadow since you're here at Icicle Trail. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Northern Cascade Range. Big Slide Creek is a splendid local stream; swing by Bob Creek it's a good spot to pop by. You have to unquestionably dedicate some time to Ewing Basin while you're here at Icicle Trail; Leavenworth Ranger District is a great local forest.
You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Northern Cascade Range. Camping is available at Ida Creek Campground, and if you come at the right time of year, Icicle Creek offers some brilliant whitewater.
