Washington hiking trails - Hurricane Hill Trail, Olympic Mountains, Clallam County

You'll need to go far from Port Angeles to get to Hurricane Hill Trail, but it's one of those places where backcountry hiking is splendid. Now, this is roughly a 2-day backcountry walk, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. With its 11.8 miles of walking
    distance; it's a long wilderness hiking trail. This is a two-ended great outdoors trail with two trailheads, so backcountry hiking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. Different parts of this wilderness hiking trail are at very different elevations which
of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the wilderness hiking trail. At parts of the year this area sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Hurricane Hill Trail sees pretty high levels of precipitation; most of the rain falls during December, and July is when it's the driest. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while Hurricane Hill Trail nighttime low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 30's. There are so many hiking trails in this vicinity. Backpacking here in the Olympic Mountains is the best way to enjoy these mountains. If you happen to be in Washington, why not go backcountry hiking, it is something that is always fun to do. Hitting the backpacking trails is always an enjoyable thing to do, and Hurricane Hill Trail in Clallam County, Washington is a really splendid place to spend some time.

This site, the Olympic Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Get your heart pumping on the splendid whitewater of Elwha River, and folks from Port Angeles love to come here. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Olympic Mountains. Winslow Spring is a magnificent local attraction; visiting Olympic National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet.
Krause Bottom is right here at Hurricane Hill Trail; there's whitewater on Elwha River for all you thrill seekers. Since you're here at Hurricane Hill Trail why not go to Geyser Valley, and hey, Long Creek is a fine local stream.
Altair Campgrounds is a fine local campground, and some of the water close by flows, like Hurricane Creek. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Hurricane Hill Trail. A forest close to Hurricane Hill Trail is Soleduck Ranger District, and Elwha Dam RV Park is a nice campground nearby.
