There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can walk it just one way. The total elevation difference for Huckleberry Trail is 2,309 feet which is about average. This is a long hiking trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Different parts of Huckleberry Trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. You should count on this trek taking about 8 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that.
