Washington hiking trails - Huckleberry Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Skamania County

   
  Washington has plenty of splendid hiking trails; one of them being Huckleberry Trail in Skamania County. Washington has so much to offer the wilderness lovers. Backcountry backpacking in Washington is so much fun. This is just one of a large number of wilderness trails in this neighborhood. All through the summertime highs here at Huckleberry Trail reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Huckleberry Trail temperatures plunge to
    the 30's. This trail has a total elevation difference of 2,309 feet which is about average. This wilderness trail is a mid length wilderness trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough wilderness trail for advanced backcountry walkers looking for
a wonderful challenge. This is a wilderness hiking trail that is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Backcountry trails like this one here in the Northern Cascade Range are a really great way to spend quality time in the wilderness. Gotta get out of the town man, and if you happen to be in Skamania County of Washington, Huckleberry Trail is a great local backpacking and hiking trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Huckleberry Trail is 8.8 miles long it's a mid length backcountry walk. You should count on this walk taking about 8  
hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Every single Washington hiking trail has something unique to offer. Some parts of this hiking trail are much higher up than other parts of the hiking trail which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the hiking trail. Huckleberry Trail has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can hike it just one way. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. A lengthy journey separates Hood River from Huckleberry Trail, but when you spend some time backcountry hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. The high level of rainfall makes Huckleberry Trail a relatively wet spot; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month.

Briefly about the general area:
Stub Creek is a stream that you may run into while here, and during your journey here you'll meet some people from Hood River for sure. Since you're here at Huckleberry Trail why not explore Warren Gap, and whitewater paddling is nice on Panther Creek.
You'll need more than a day to look at everything Huckleberry Trail has to offer, you can camp at Dolce Skamania Lodge, and paddling on Wind River is so much fun. So much fun stuff to do here at Huckleberry Trail, too pleasant to be true. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Cascade Range. Stay the night at Cascade Locks Koa Kampground, and there's some flowing water close by, Eightmile Creek is a stream you can check out while you're here.
