This great outdoors hiking trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of backpacking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. Horseshoe Ridge Trail has a total elevation difference of 2,830 feet which is a higher than average number. Horseshoe Ridge Trail goes through some very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the hiking and backpacking trail. This backcountry trek shouldn't take more than 8.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Horseshoe Ridge Trail is quite long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Being 9.6 miles long; it's longer than many hiking and backpacking trails.
