| | in delightful shape. Summertime highs at Horseshoe Ridge Trail frequently tend to be in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Horseshoe Ridge Trail. The total elevation difference for Horseshoe Ridge Trail is 2,830 feet, and that is higher than average. the other end. Horseshoe Ridge Trail is a pretty wet place regularly with a good deal of precipitation; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain; July is when it's the driest. Different parts of this trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind
that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. This is a long backpacking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Being 9.6 miles long; it's longer than many trails. This backcountry
hike shouldn't take more than 8.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. If you happen to be in Washington, why not go backcountry backpacking, it is the glorious thing to do. Backcountry backpacking here in the Northern
Cascade Range is the best way to enjoy these peaks.
Briefly about the general area: In the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Siouxon Creek, and Observation Berryfield Campground is a good campground nearby.
But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. If you came for an overnight stay Canyon Creek Campground is a perfect site to camp, and since you're here, you could stop by Horseshoe Creek. Wildcat Creek flows through this vicinity, and Canyon Creek - Lewis River Tributary has a great whitewater paddling spot close by.
