Each one of the many backpacking trails of Washington is worth backcountry hiking. These backcountry trails here in the Olympic Mountains are a very good way to see these mountains. This backcountry trail is a backcountry trail of good length with very little uphill walking involved which makes this a very tough hiking trail for advanced backcountry walkers looking for a perfect challenge. Hoh River Trail is a long
    journey away from Port Angeles, but It's always enjoyable to trek here. Now, this is roughly a 4-day backcountry trek, so it's a good thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job. Hoh River Trail sees pretty high levels of rain; the wettest month of the year is typically
November, that's the one that rains the most, and July is the month with the least moisture. Different parts of Hoh River Trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. This is just one of a large number of hiking trails in this region. Hoh River Trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be hiking it in and back out. Keep in mind that this is a long great outdoors trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. The total elevation  
difference for Hoh River Trail is 4,310 feet which is higher than average. Backcountry hiking trails are fine and plentiful in Washington; Hoh River Trail in Clallam County is one of them. High temperatures at Hoh River Trail during the summertime are in the 70's with night lows in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Hoh River Trail dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. Being 31.2 miles long; it's a long hiking trail. Briefly about the general area:
Hoh River Trail really is in the middle of a lovely outdoors paradise. Clide Creek is a great local stream, and there's whitewater on Soleduck River - North Fork for all you adrenaline people. All year is a good time in the Olympic Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. Cougar Creek is a perfect location to check out, and Bogachiel Park is a perfect place.
This river has so much to offer. Lots of people from Port Angeles come to Hoh River Trail. At this river you will always have a good time. Why not stop at Olympic Peninsula also if you're here, and a tour to Hoh River Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Marymere Falls. So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Olympic Mountains, too brilliant to be true. Hoh River Trail is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Soleduck Campground is a tremendous local campground, and Hoh River Trail is near Appleton Pass which is positively worth stopping at.
You can run the rapids of Hoh River - South Fork near Hoh River Trail; a short tour to Sol Duc Falls is always worthwhile. A glorious site to camp here at Hoh River Trail is Hoh Campground, and places like Seven Lakes Basin are brilliant to pop by.
