Washington hiking trails - Highline Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Yakima County       Going for a backcountry trek here in Washington is something that is always fun to do. There is only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out trek. The length of Highline Trail   is on the longer side with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a splendid hiking trail for experienced hikers in pleasant shape. Every backcountry trail in Washington has its own character. Through the warmest time of the year at Highline Trail highs are mostly in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and nighttime lows at Highline Trail through the wintertime frequently dip into the 20's. When was the last time you got out in the great outdoors a bit? And if that's not sufficient there's a load more enjoyable things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Put some time aside to spend at Cold Springs if you're here at Highline Trail. You ought to undeniably dedicate some time to Foggy Flat if you're here at Highline Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, White Salmon River offers some delightful whitewater. Just can't get enough of the Northern Cascade Range. There's so much to do here at Highline Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Killen Creek Campground is a nice place for that, and swing by Crooked Creek it's a good place to take a look at. That right there is a lot already, but it keeps on going; Highline Trail has it all. If you're here, you might as well pop by Avalanche Valley, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Cispus River.
