Washington hiking trails - Greenwater Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Pierce County

   
  We all need to get out in the wilderness once in a while, and if you happen to be in Pierce County of Washington, Greenwater Trail is a glorious local hiking trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Because Greenwater Trail is very far away from modern life, when you backcountry walk it you're always having a glorious time. Backcountry backpacking here in Washington is so much fun. This is a hiking and backpacking trail that is quite long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. There's not much difference in elevation along the great outdoors hiking
    trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your trek. There are numerous backpacking and hiking trails in Washington, and each one is worth backcountry hiking. A visit to Washington is not complete without some backcountry backpacking. With its 9.2 miles
of walking distance; it's longer than many great outdoors hiking trails. This is one of many wilderness hiking trails in the surrounding area. Backcountry hiking here in the Northern Cascade Range is the best way to enjoy these mountaintops. Greenwater Trail is a wilderness trail of pleasant length having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough wilderness hiking trail for advanced hikers looking for a nice challenge. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. All through the summer months, highs typically are in the 70's  
at Greenwater Trail. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; nighttime lows through the wintertime for Greenwater Trail tend to be in the 20's. Greenwater Trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be trekking it in and back out. The total elevation difference for this wilderness trail is 1,028 feet which is an average number. Greenwater Trail is a relatively wet location frequently with a good deal of precipitation; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain while July is mostly the driest month. The time needed for this hike is roughly 8 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. There are backpacking and hiking trails all over Washington, and one of those is Greenwater Trail in Pierce County.

Briefly about the general area:
Dry Creek Campground is a perfect campground nearby; unsurprisingly Lost Creek is a pretty stream that is worth visiting. Greenwater Trail beyond doubt is in the middle of a gorgeous outdoors paradise. Don't forget to take a great little spree to Meadow Creek.
Man, is there plenty of amusing stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Stay the night at Morse Creek Campground, and a great location to check out nearby is Windy Gap. Government Meadow is a nice site, and there are some good whitewater spots on White River. Some wonderful nature is available in White River Ranger District, and there's whitewater on Greenwater River for all you adrenaline people.
