which makes this a very tough hiking trail for advanced walkers looking for a good challenge. This hike should take you about 5.5 days, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. Backcountry trekking here in the Northern Cascade Range is a really good way to spend quality time in the fresh air. Here in Washington backcountry hiking is a glorious way to spend some time. Being 36 miles long; it's longer than many backpacking trails. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Granite Creek Trail is quite long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end, so trekking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back.

Briefly about the general area:
This place, the Northern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors amusing things. You can run the rapids of Little Naches River right next door to Granite Creek Trail, and don't leave Granite Creek Trail without first paying a visit to Cedar Springs. Granite Creek Trail is a magnificent site to visit for more than one day, Lake Easton Resort and Club is a magnificent site to camp nearby, and Cub Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at.
There's some flowing water nearby, Jim Creek is a stream you can check out while you're here, and you ought to positively dedicate some time to Lost Meadow if you're here at Granite Creek Trail. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. A fine location near Granite Creek Trail is Windy Pass; a fine spot like Mathew Meadow here at Granite Creek Trail is too nice to miss.
So much amusing stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not sufficient time. American River is a tremendous whitewater spot near Granite Creek Trail, and there's a forest here called Naches Ranger District. West Quartz Creek Falls is an inspiring location to visit while you're here, and R V Town is a magnificent local campground.
