For the duration of the warmest time of the year here at Goose Prairie Trail, high temperatures generally reach the 70's while overnight lows are commonly in the 40's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Goose Prairie Trail dip into the 20's. Keep in mind that this is a long backcountry hiking trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies.  
The total elevation difference for this great outdoors trail is 3,246 feet which is a higher than average number. This hike shouldn't take more than 8.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Different parts of Goose Prairie Trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Each great outdoors trail in Washington is well worth a walk. Goose Prairie Trail is a long journey away from Ellensburg, but backcountry backpacking along this hiking trail is very enjoyable.
