You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while, and Goat Peak Trail in Kittitas County, Washington is just the location. With its 4.6 miles of walking distance it's an average length wilderness hiking trail. Don’t forget to check for any current     restrictions or closures before you go. Even though this is not a very long trail it's always delightful to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. The total elevation difference for Goat Peak Trail is 2,240 feet which is about average. This trek shouldn't take more than 4 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. The pretty backpacking and hiking trails of the Northern Cascade Range are a very splendid way to see these summits. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Goat Peak Trail fall into the 20's. You'll have got to go far from Ellensburg to get to Goat Peak Trail, but hiking it is delightful merriment any time. Briefly about the general area: This river is so perfect. Cole Creek is a great local stream, and some of the water nearby flows, like Greek Creek. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Northern Cascade Range is so good! Goat Peak Trail is a great place to camp, Lake Easton Resort and Club is a great place, and glide down the rapids of Box Canyon Creek in a kayak. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Goat Peak Trail has to offer, you can camp at R V Town, and get drenched paddling on Little Naches River.
