Washington hiking trails - Goat Peak Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Kittitas County

   
  A lengthy journey parts Ellensburg from Goat Peak Trail, but when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. No chance of getting bored in Washington if you like the outdoors. Backcountry hiking trails are great and plentiful in Washington, and one of these is Goat Peak Trail in Kittitas County. This trek shouldn't take more than 4 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. When you're here in Washington backcountry backpacking along one of its hiking trails is always a cool thing to do. With
    its 4.6 miles of walking distance it's an average length backcountry trail. This trail has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry trek it just one way. There are numerous hiking trails in Washington, and each one is worth backcountry backpacking.
Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. The great outdoors trails of the Northern Cascade Range are a very great way to see these peaks. The total elevation difference for Goat Peak Trail is 2,240 feet which is an average number. Spending too much time indoors got you down? No problem, if you happen to be in Kittitas County of Washington, Goat Peak Trail is an excellent local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. All the water falling down from the sky makes Goat Peak Trail a wet location; all through the month of January you get the  
most rain around here, and July on the other hand is the driest. The length of this great outdoors trail is about average having an average number of uphill miles which makes it an excellent backcountry hiking trail for the average person looking for an excellent adventure. Goat Peak Trail goes through some very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the backcountry trail. Even though this is not a very long backcountry trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. High temperatures at Goat Peak Trail through the warm days of summer are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and night lows through the wintertime for Goat Peak Trail tend to be in the 20's. This is just one of a large number of backcountry hiking trails in this neighborhood.

Briefly about the general area:
There's so much to do here at Goat Peak Trail that you need to camp here for a while, R V Town is a tremendous spot for that, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Box Canyon Creek.
Visit Cole Creek while you're here at Goat Peak Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Goat Peak Trail has to offer, you can camp at Lake Easton Resort and Club. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Northern Cascade Range. Greek Creek is a pleasant place to stop by, and there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Little Naches River.
