No chance of getting bored in Washington if you like the fresh air. Summer at Goat Creek Trail comes with high temperatures in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's; winter nights     come with lows in the 20's to Goat Creek Trail. Goat Creek Trail has only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out backcountry trek. Some parts of Goat Creek Trail are much higher up than other parts of the backpacking trail, and that means that some parts of the backpacking trail could be very different from other parts of it. Briefly about the general area: The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Clover Spring, and if you come at the right time of year, Bumping River offers some great whitewater. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend American River; camping is available at Hells Crossing Campground. You definitely have to like Goat Creek Trail. Take a side tour to Sunrise Creek. This location, the Northern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Pleasant Valley is a good place to explore, and camping at Cougar Flat Campground is always a tremendous experience.
