  There are so many glorious trails for backpacking in Washington, and one of those is Goat Creek Trail in Yakima County. Goat Creek Trail is a backpacking and hiking trail rather far from Ellensburg, but it is one of many great backpacking and hiking trails in this region. No chance of getting bored in Washington if you like the fresh air. Summer at Goat Creek Trail comes with high temperatures in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's; winter nights
    come with lows in the 20's to Goat Creek Trail. Goat Creek Trail sees pretty high levels of rainfall; through January this region sees the most rain while July is usually the driest month. This backpacking and hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 3,879 feet which is
a higher than average number. This is just one of a large number of backpacking trails in this region. Goat Creek Trail is 8 miles long it's an average length backpacking trail. This trek shouldn't take more than 7 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. There are numerous trails in Washington, and each one is charming in its own way. Goat Creek Trail is a normal length great outdoors trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this backpacking trail tremendous for hard core backpackers looking for adventure.  
Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in the great outdoors a bit, and if you happen to be in Yakima County of Washington, Goat Creek Trail is a brilliant local backpacking and hiking trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Here in Washington backpacking is a glorious way to spend some time. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. This is a long wilderness trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. These great outdoors trails here in the Northern Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these peaks. Goat Creek Trail has only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out backcountry trek. Some parts of Goat Creek Trail are much higher up than other parts of the backpacking trail, and that means that some parts of the backpacking trail could be very different from other parts of it.

Briefly about the general area:
The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Clover Spring, and if you come at the right time of year, Bumping River offers some great whitewater. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend American River; camping is available at Hells Crossing Campground.
You definitely have to like Goat Creek Trail. Take a side tour to Sunrise Creek. This location, the Northern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Pleasant Valley is a good place to explore, and camping at Cougar Flat Campground is always a tremendous experience. Visit Scab Creek since you're here at Goat Creek Trail, and a spree to Goat Creek Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Soda Springs.
