    with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this wilderness hiking trail good for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. It's a lengthy drive from Ellensburg to Goat Creek Trail, but it is an outstanding getaway from the settlement. The time needed for this backcountry
walk is roughly 7 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Put on your backcountry hiking shoes, and hit the backcountry hiking trail, Goat Creek Trail in Yakima County, Washington is an outstanding place for getting out. For the period of the summertime highs here at Goat Creek Trail get into the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Goat Creek Trail dipping down into the 20's through winter nights.  
Now this backpacking trail is pretty long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. This trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be backpacking it in and back out. Every backcountry trail in Washington is picturesque in its own way. Some parts of this wilderness trail are much higher up than other parts of the wilderness trail, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. The total elevation difference for this trail is 3,879 feet, and that is higher than average. Hiking trails like this one here in the Northern Cascade Range are a tremendous way to explore these mountains. This is one of many wilderness hiking trails in the surrounding neighborhood. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in spot.

Yep, outdoors fun stuff to do are really abundant here at Goat Creek Trail. Clover Spring is a lovely location to visit while you're at Goat Creek Trail. Getting to Sunrise Creek from Goat Creek Trail is uncomplicated, and if you come at the right time of year, American River offers some delightful whitewater.
Soda Springs is a splendid local attraction, and Goat Creek Trail is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Hells Crossing Campground is a fine place to camp nearby. Float down the rapids of Bumping River in a kayak, and Cougar Flat Campground is a pleasant campground nearby. That right there is a heap of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the Northern Cascade Range has it all. Some of the water nearby flows, like Scab Creek, and a tremendous place to have a look at close by is Pleasant Valley.
