This backcountry walk should take you about 2 days, so it's a fine thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. The total elevation difference for Glacier Ridge Trail is 3,891 feet, and that is higher than average. There is only one trailhead, so you'll be backpacking it in and back out.

You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Northern Cascade Range. Glide down the rapids of Sloan Creek in a kayak, and since you're here at Glacier Ridge Trail it's a pleasant idea to visit Buckeye Basin. There's so much to do here at Glacier Ridge Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Owl Creek Campground is a good place for that; if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Fourteenmile Creek.
A pleasant trip to Green Mountain Pasture is a great way to spend an afternoon, and Glacier Ridge Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Sulphur Creek Campground is a great local campground.
