about the same from start to finish. Glacier Lake Trail is positioned a relatively long tour from Hood River, but it is a tremendous backcountry trail. Summertime highs at Glacier Lake Trail usually tend to be in the 70's while nighttime lows are typically in the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Glacier Lake Trail dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. You should count on this backcountry hike taking about 3 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Glacier  
Lake Trail is not that long but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. Glacier Lake Trail typically gets lots of precipitation; during January this vicinity sees the most snow, and the driest of the months is July. This wilderness trail has a total elevation difference of 974 feet which is a lower than average number. Get your pulse rate up on the fine whitewater of Johnson Creek, and Glacier Lake Trail is nice enough to spend more than a day at, River Bar Campground is a nice local campground.

If you're here at Glacier Lake Trail, you could have a look at Deception Creek; camping at Packwood RV Park and Campground is always a splendid experience. At this river you will always have a good time. You can run the rapids of Cowlitz River near Glacier Lake Trail, and needless to say Glacier Creek flows through this neighborhood.
