Washington hiking trails - Georges Peak Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Cowlitz County

   
  If you happen to be in Washington, why not go backcountry trekking, it is always an amusing thing to do. A long drive separates Longview-Kelso from Georges Peak Trail, but it is an amusing place to backcountry trek. Every Washington hiking and backpacking trail is different from the others. This is one of a very small number of hiking trails in this region. Now, this is roughly a 1.5-day backcountry trek, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. Hiking here in the Northern Cascade Range is a really fine way to spend quality time in the outdoors.
    At Georges Peak Trail through the months of summer highs are in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Georges Peak Trail dipping down into the 30's throughout winter nights. Washington
has plenty of magnificent hiking and backpacking trails, and Georges Peak Trail is one of them, and it's in Cowlitz County. As long as you like the outdoors you will like Washington. This hiking and backpacking trail has a total elevation difference of 1,673 feet which is an average number. Now this great outdoors hiking trail is pretty long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. This hiking and backpacking trail has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry trek it just one way. Georges Peak Trail is 11.2 miles long;  
it's longer than many backcountry hiking trails. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. Some parts of this backcountry hiking trail are much higher up than other parts of the backcountry hiking trail, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. We all need to get out in nature once in a while, and Georges Peak Trail in Cowlitz County, Washington is such a glorious place. The length of Georges Peak Trail is on the longer side having an average number of uphill miles which makes it an excellent hiking trail for experienced hikers in splendid shape. Georges Peak Trail gets a great deal of water; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month.

Briefly about the general area:
Be careful coming to the Northern Cascade Range, you might not ever want to go home again. Washboard Falls is a stunning place to pop by while you're at Georges Peak Trail; obviously, A trip to Bear Pass is always fun. You'll meet a lot of folks from Longview-Kelso here; a splendid location for whitewater paddling is Kalama River.
Bear Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at; if you came for an overnight stay Lewis River RV Park is a nice location to camp. So many enjoyable things in the vicinity of Georges Peak Trail, simply phenomenal. Big Fir Campground and RV Park is a delightful campground nearby. Coweeman River is a nice whitewater spot near Georges Peak Trail, and there's some flowing water nearby, Arnold Creek is a stream you can explore while here.
