sure you bring plenty of supplies. Georges Peak Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,673 feet which is about average. This great outdoors trail is a great outdoors trail of nice length with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a tremendous trail for experienced
backcountry walkers in wonderful shape. Each one of the many backpacking and hiking trails of Washington is well worth a hike. Now, this is roughly a 1.5-day walk, so it's a splendid thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job. Some parts of Georges Peak Trail are much higher
up than other parts of the hiking trail, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations.
Briefly about the general area: There's some flowing water nearby, Bear Creek is a stream you can explore while here, and a great spot to camp here
at Georges Peak Trail is Big Fir Campground and RV Park. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Get your pulse rate up on the magnificent whitewater of Coweeman River. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Kalama River, and
naturally Arnold Creek flows through this neighborhood. Bear Pass is a good site to visit close by, and Washboard Falls is a gorgeous place to take a look at while you're at Georges Peak Trail. That right there is heaps of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Northern Cascade
Range has it all. The nice people of Longview-Kelso like to hang out nearby, and camping at Lewis River RV Park is always a pleasant experience.
