Washington hiking trails - Gee Point Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Skagit County

   
  Hey, time for a trek don’t you think? Gee Point Trail in Skagit County, Washington is just the site. Gee Point Trail is a backpacking trail quite far from Mount Vernon-Anacortes, but It's always fun to trek here. This backcountry walk shouldn't take
    more than 2.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. The warmest time of the year at Gee Point Trail comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures through the
wintertime are normally in the 40's, and night lows at Gee Point Trail through the wintertime generally descend into the 30's. This is not a very long hiking trail but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. Gee Point Trail generally gets a good deal of precipitation; December is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. There are so many fine great outdoors hiking trails for backcountry hiking in Washington, and Gee Point Trail in Skagit County is one of them. Gee Point Trail is on  
the short side with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this great outdoors trail pleasant for the average backcountry walker looking for an amusing adventure. There's not much difference in elevation along the backcountry hiking trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your backcountry trek. There are plenty of great outdoors hiking trails in Washington; each one of them is different from the others. This is a one trailhead wilderness trail, so you'll be backcountry backpacking it in and back out. Being 2.8 miles long it's shorter than many backcountry hiking trails. Wilderness hiking trails like this one here in the Northern Cascade Range are a splendid way to explore these mountains. This wilderness trail has a total elevation difference of 1,343 feet which is about average.

But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Stillaguamish River - North Fork. There's so much to do here at Gee Point Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Skagit River woods is a tremendous spot for that.
There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Finney Creek. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Gee Point Trail has to offer, you can camp at Timberline Recreational Vehicle Park.
