Washington hiking trails - Five Thousand Thirty Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Lewis County

Finally, backpacking time is here again, and Five Thousand Thirty Trail in Lewis County, Washington is a wonderful location for getting out. There's not much difference in elevation along Five Thousand Thirty Trail, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole hiking and backpacking trail. Every single Washington hiking trail has its own character. The length of Five Thousand Thirty Trail is about average with an
    average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough trail for advanced trekkers looking for a magnificent challenge. This is a long trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Five Thousand Thirty Trail is 8.4 miles long it's a mid length backcountry hike. Backcountry
hiking trails for trekking, and backpacking can be found all over Washington, and Five Thousand Thirty Trail is one of them, and it's in Lewis County. All through the days of summer highs here at Five Thousand Thirty Trail reach the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's with temperatures at Five Thousand Thirty Trail dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. This is just one of a large number of trails in this neighborhood. And keep  
in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. The gorgeous hiking trails of the Northern Cascade Range are a really fine way to spend quality time in the fresh air. You'll must go far from Hood River to get to Five Thousand Thirty Trail, but what a wonderful location for backpacking it is. Five Thousand Thirty Trail has a total elevation difference of 897 feet, and that is lower than average. Five Thousand Thirty Trail has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can trek it just one way. The high level of rain makes Five Thousand Thirty Trail a pretty wet spot; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest month of the year is July. The time needed for this backcountry walk is roughly 7.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that.

Briefly about the general area:
If you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cowlitz River, and while you're here at Five Thousand Thirty Trail it's a great idea to check out Lily Basin. Just can't get enough of the Northern Cascade Range. A trip to Five Thousand Thirty Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Jennings Falls, and not far from Five Thousand Thirty Trail you obtain some tremendous water scenery at Packwood Dam.
And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun stuff just keep reading. Mount Rainier National Park is a perfect national park, and obviously Middle Fork Johnson Creek flows through this region. If you're here at Five Thousand Thirty Trail, you could have a look at Glacier Creek; River Bar Campground is a great campground nearby. Johnson Creek is a great whitewater spot right next door to Five Thousand Thirty Trail; you can stay the night at Hatchery RV Campground.
And if that's not sufficient there's a lot more fun things to do in the Northern Cascade Range.
