Washington hiking trails - Finney Peak Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Skagit County

If you happen to be in Washington, why not go trekking, it never gets boring. Finney Peak Trail is a trail relatively far from Mount Vernon-Anacortes, but hiking along this trail is very enjoyable. Now this backcountry trail is pretty long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Through the summertime, highs regularly are in the 70's at Finney Peak Trail while night lows are mostly in the 50's. Daytime
    highs through the winter are in the 40's; through the dark hours in the winter at Finney Peak Trail temperatures descend to the 30's. Finney Peak Trail sees pretty high levels of rain; most of the rain falls throughout November, and the driest month of the year is July. The total
elevation difference for Finney Peak Trail is 2,658 feet, and that is higher than average. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in the wilderness a bit, and Finney Peak Trail in Skagit County, Washington is just what you need. This backcountry hiking trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to walk it normally. There are not too many hiking trails in this area. This backpacking trail is a mid length backpacking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this hiking trail great for hard core backpackers looking  
for adventure. With its 6.2 miles of walking distance it's a mid length walk. The beautiful backpacking trails of the Northern Cascade Range are a nice way to explore these mountaintops. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in site. While visiting this region in Washington it's a nice idea to go backcountry backpacking too. There are plenty of wilderness hiking trails in Washington; each one of them is worth trekking. Some parts of Finney Peak Trail are much higher up than other parts of the backpacking and hiking trail, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. The time needed for this backcountry walk is roughly 5.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster.

Briefly about the general area:
In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stillaguamish River - North Fork. Finney Peak Trail is a pleasant site to camp, Creekside Camping is a pleasant site, and a quick spree to Clendenen Creek is without doubt a brilliant idea.
And that's not all the things you can do here in the Northern Cascade Range. A great site for whitewater paddling close to Finney Peak Trail is Finney Creek. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Finney Peak Trail has to offer, you can camp at Baker Lake Resort. Gee Creek flows through this area, and do take some time to stop by Mount Baker National Forest while you're here.
