There is only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to hike it normally. Finney Peak Trail is 6.2 miles long it's an average length hiking trail. Finney Peak Trail mostly gets a great deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls through November, and July on the other  
hand is the driest. High temperatures at Finney Peak Trail during the warm days of summer are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter this location gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Finney Peak Trail are in the 30's. Finney Peak Trail is quite long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Finney Peak Trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations.

If you come at the right time of year, Stillaguamish River - North Fork offers some great whitewater; Finney Peak Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Creekside Camping is a great local campground. There's a good forest next to Finney Peak Trail called Mount Baker National Forest; get yourself into a kayak and hit Finney Creek.
