Fawn Lake Trail has a total elevation difference of 361 feet which is a lower than average number. Even though this is not a very long wilderness trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. This hike shouldn't take more than 2.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Being 2.8 miles long it's a shorter type backcountry hike. Fawn Lake Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole great outdoors trail. Fawn Lake Trail is a two ended wilderness trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can hike it just one way.
