Washington hiking trails - Fawn Lake Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Cowlitz County

   
  You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while, and if you happen to be in Cowlitz County of Washington, Fawn Lake Trail is a magnificent local backpacking trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Nice great outdoors hiking trails in Washington are in abundance; one of these is Fawn Lake Trail in Cowlitz County. Backcountry trekking in Washington never gets boring. Washington is a wonderful spot for outdoors folks. Fawn Lake Trail is a long trip away from Longview-Kelso, but there's great natural beauty awaiting you here along
    it. There are not too many backcountry hiking trails in this vicinity. Fawn Lake Trail is not that long but it's always nice to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. The high level of rainfall makes Fawn Lake Trail a rather wet spot; all through the month
of December you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is July. These hiking and backpacking trails here in the Northern Cascade Range are a wonderful way to explore these highlands. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. This hiking trail has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can trek it just one way. The time needed for this walk is roughly 2.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Fawn Lake Trail has a total elevation difference  
of 361 feet, and that is lower than average. There's not much difference in elevation along Fawn Lake Trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your trek. High temperatures at Fawn Lake Trail throughout the summertime months are in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Fawn Lake Trail temperatures descend to the 30's. There are plenty of great outdoors hiking trails in Washington; each one of them is worth backpacking. This hiking and backpacking trail is on the short side having an average number of uphill miles which makes this backcountry hiking trail great for the average trekker looking for an enjoyable adventure. Fawn Lake Trail is 2.8 miles long it's shorter than many great outdoors trails.

These mountains rock, just check out all the exciting stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Do pay a visit to Mount Rainier National Park since you're here at Fawn Lake Trail; a glorious spot to camp here at Fawn Lake Trail is Merrill Lake Campground.
Fawn Lake Trail is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Roy's Motel and RV Park is a wonderful local campground, and locations like Elk Prairie are great to pop by.
