Trail is a normal length great outdoors trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough trail for advanced hikers looking for a great challenge. With its 8 miles of walking distance it's a mid length trek. Summertime highs at Escondido Trail commonly
tend to be in the 60's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Escondido Trail. Backcountry hiking here in the Northern Cascade Range is a very good way to see these summits.
Briefly
about the general area: There's whitewater on Box Canyon Creek for all you thrill seekers; Waptus Pass is absolutely a wonderful site to stop at. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Cooper River, and do have a look at Delate Creek while you're here at Escondido
Trail. Stay the night at Kachess Campground. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Northern Cascade Range. Hour Creek Campground is a great campground nearby, and don't forget to take a delightful little visit to Tired Creek.
