No problem, East Crater Trail in Skamania County, Washington is a splendid choice. Quite far from Hood River you encounter East Crater Trail, but It's always enjoyable to backcountry trek here. Backcountry backpacking in Washington is such a good thing to do. This is a one trailhead hiking and backpacking trail,
    so you're looking at an in and out backcountry walk. There are so many brilliant great outdoors hiking trails for backcountry backpacking in Washington; one of these is East Crater Trail in Skamania County. This backcountry hiking trail goes through some very different elevations
which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the backcountry hiking trail. Summertime at East Crater Trail comes with high temperatures in the 70's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's. All through the winter highs are frequently in the 40's, and nighttime lows at East Crater Trail throughout the winter frequently plunge into the 30's. These great outdoors trails here in the Northern Cascade Range are a really nice way to spend quality time in the fresh air. East Crater Trail is 11.2 miles long;  
it's longer than many backcountry hiking trails. East Crater Trail is quite long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. The length of this great outdoors trail is on the longer side with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this hiking and backpacking trail glorious for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. This is a neighborhood covered with lots of hiking and backpacking trails. Of course, this is an overnight backcountry trek, 1.5 days normally, so it's a wonderful thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job. East Crater Trail is a wet place that gets a great deal of rainfall; December is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is July. East Crater Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,609 feet which is an average number.

Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at East Crater Trail. A brilliant place like South Prairie here at East Crater Trail is too great to miss. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Northern Cascade Range. A short tour to Lost Creek Spring is always worthwhile, and glide down the rapids of Lewis River - North Fork in a kayak.
East Crater Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Cultus Creek Campground is a great local campground, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Spring Creek. Indian Heaven is a good place here at East Crater Trail, and some of the water close by flows, like Dry Creek. If you come at the right time of year, Panther Creek offers some delightful whitewater. There's so much to do here at East Crater Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Forlorn Lakes Campground is a brilliant place for that.
