Washington hiking trails - East Crater Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Skamania County

   
  Each hiking trail in Washington has something unique to offer. Gotta get out of the city man, and if you happen to be in Skamania County of Washington, East Crater Trail is a brilliant local hiking trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Washington has plenty of wonderful hiking trails, and East Crater Trail in Skamania County is one of them. East Crater Trail is a hiking trail rather far from Hood River, but when you spend some time backpacking here you will feel like a whole new person. This is a one trailhead hiking trail, so in and out is the way to
    hike it normally. This is a neighborhood covered with lots of backcountry trails. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. East Crater Trail is 11.2 miles long; it's considered a longer hike. If you happen to be in Washington, why not go backcountry
backpacking, it is an outstanding idea. Washington is a good place for backcountry hikers. High temperatures at East Crater Trail through the summertime months are in the 70's, and the nighttime is fairly chillier of course, regularly in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are regularly in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at East Crater Trail. Now this wilderness hiking trail is pretty long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. East Crater Trail regularly gets a lot of rain; December is the wettest month with most rain  
while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This backcountry hike should take you about 1.5 days, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. The total elevation difference for East Crater Trail is 1,609 feet which is an average number. East Crater Trail is a hiking trail of splendid length with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it an outstanding backcountry trail for experienced trekkers in great shape. East Crater Trail goes through some very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the wilderness hiking trail. Wilderness hiking trails like this one here in the Northern Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these mountains.

Now, you may feel that's a load but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at East Crater Trail. Why not camp at Forlorn Lakes Campground if you're here at East Crater Trail. There's whitewater on Panther Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers; South Prairie is a great site to check out.
Dry Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out; there are some nice whitewater spots on Lewis River - North Fork. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Northern Cascade Range. Lost Creek Spring is an inspiring site to stop at while you're here, and Indian Heaven is a picturesque place any time of year. There's some flowing water close by, Spring Creek is a stream you can pop by during your stay; Cultus Creek Campground is a splendid local campground.
