Duncan Hill Trail is many miles long with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a magnificent trail for experienced backcountry walkers in
    great shape. Summertime at Duncan Hill Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Summer night lows dip down to the 40's. Through the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Duncan Hill Trail dip into
the 10's. Keep in mind that this is a long hiking trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. At parts of the year this area sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Duncan Hill Trail is situated a pretty long trip from Wenatchee, but it is a fun site to trek. The amount of rainfall that falls at Duncan Hill Trail is close to the national average; the month with most of the snow is December; July is the month with the least moisture. Outdoors folks generally  
like this part of Washington. Of course, this is an overnight backcountry hike, 4 days normally, so it's a good thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Duncan Hill Trail has a total elevation difference of 5,038 feet which is higher than average. With its 27.2 miles of walking distance; it's longer than many great outdoors hiking trails. Hiking here in the Northern Cascade Range is a really great way to spend quality time in nature. This is a one trailhead hiking and backpacking trail, so you're looking at an in and out backcountry walk. Some parts of this great outdoors hiking trail are much higher up than other parts of the great outdoors hiking trail, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Here in Washington backcountry trekking never gets boring. This is one of many trails in the surrounding area.

Briefly about the general area:
This river has it all. Snowshoe Spring is a perfect local attraction. And that's not all there is to do here in the Northern Cascade Range. If you're here at Duncan Hill Trail, do take a spree to Twin Harbor; if you came for an overnight stay Three Creek Campground is a good spot to camp.
If you come at the right time of year, Entiat River offers some delightful whitewater; of course Shetipo Creek flows through this area. Just can't get enough of the Northern Cascade Range. Klone Meadow is a beautiful place any time of year; some tremendous nature is available in Entiat Ranger District. Just can't get enough of Duncan Hill Trail. Put some time aside to spend at Entiat Falls since you're here at Duncan Hill Trail, and Saska Pass is also a glorious place to look at.
Places like Pond Meadow are nice to visit, and Spruce Grove Campground is a delightful campground here. This is such a great river. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Entiat River, and there's some flowing water nearby, Duncan Creek is a stream you can go to while here.
