This backcountry trek shouldn't take more than 8 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. The great outdoors hiking trails of the Northern Cascade Range are a splendid way to explore these mountaintops. This hiking trail has  
a total elevation difference of 3,442 feet which is higher than average. Driveway Butte Trail is a one trailhead hiking trail, so you'll be trekking it in and back out. Every Washington hiking trail is beautiful in its own way. Being 9.4 miles long; it's longer than many trails. This trail goes through some very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the trail. Driveway Butte Trail is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. This is one of a very small number of backcountry hiking trails in this vicinity. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Driveway Butte Trail. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and nighttime lows all through the wintertime for Driveway Butte Trail tend to be in the 20's.

Briefly about the general area:
Paddling on Lost River is so much fun, and if you came to camp Klipchuck Campground is a pleasant site to do that. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things at Driveway Butte Trail.
Cedar Falls is a pretty site to check out while you're at Driveway Butte Trail; there's some flowing water nearby, Lost River is a stream you can go to during your stay. All the outdoors amusing stuff in the Northern Cascade Range will keep you coming back many times. Varden Creek flows through this neighborhood; camping at Ballard Campground is always a good experience. If you're here at Driveway Butte Trail, do take a tour to Vista Point; soar down the rapids of Methow River in a kayak.
