Driveway Butte Trail is a very long backpacking and hiking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a tremendous backpacking trail for experienced walkers in good shape. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Driveway Butte Trail, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. that is quite long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. This great outdoors trail has a total elevation difference of 3,442 feet which is a higher than average number. This is one of a very small number of backpacking trails in this neighborhood. Washington is a fine outdoors
state. The backpacking and hiking trails of the Northern Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these highlands. This backcountry hike shouldn't take more than 8 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Driveway Butte Trail
is not very next to Wenatchee at all, but trekking is such an enjoyable thing to do, and this is an outstanding location to do that. Some parts of Driveway Butte Trail are much higher up than other parts of the hiking trail which of course means you need to be prepared for different
conditions on different parts of the hiking trail. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go.
Briefly about the general area: Any time is a wonderful time at Driveway Butte Trail if you have a thing about the outdoors. Take a side trip
to Lost River; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Methow River. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting things the Northern Cascade Range has to offer. Don't forget to stop at Vista Point while you're here at Driveway
Butte Trail, and Ballard Campground is a great local campground. Put some time aside to spend at Cedar Falls while you're here at Driveway Butte Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Klipchuck Campground is a pleasant place to camp. There are some splendid whitewater spots on Lost River, and swing by Varden Creek it's a wonderful site to explore.
