Summertime highs at Dewey Lake Trail typically tend to be in the 70's while night lows are typically in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while Dewey Lake Trail night low temperatures  
throughout the wintertime are in the 20's. This backpacking and hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 1,557 feet, and that is about average. This is a long wilderness trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. This backcountry trail is many miles long with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this backpacking and hiking trail wonderful for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. There are many wonderful hiking trails in Washington, and Dewey Lake Trail in Yakima County is one of them. Now, this is roughly a 1.5-day trek, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. Dewey Lake Trail is a one trailhead backpacking and hiking trail, so you'll be hiking it in and back out.

Briefly about the general area:
Some of the water nearby flows, like Rainier Fork American River, and Bullion Basin is right here at Dewey Lake Trail. Morse Creek is a good site to pop by, and a good place for whitewater paddling is American River.
And that's not everything there is to do here in the Northern Cascade Range. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Chinook Creek; a short trip to Union Creek Falls is always worthwhile. So much cool stuff in the Northern Cascade Range, just extraordinary. Camping at Morse Creek Campground is always a good experience; a journey to Pickhandle Basin rejuvenates the spirit.
Just can't get enough of Dewey Lake Trail. Pickhandle Gap is a good location to explore nearby, and a great site to camp here at Dewey Lake Trail is Lodgepole Campground.
