place to trek. Dewey Lake Trail commonly gets much rain; the month with most of the rain is January, and the driest month of the year is July. Dewey Lake Trail is a one trailhead wilderness trail, so you'll be backcountry backpacking it in and back out. This is a hiking trail that
is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Being 12 miles long; it's a long trail.
Briefly about the general area: It's a nice idea to stop by Rainier Fork American River, it's close to Dewey Lake Trail, and Pickhandle Basin is a pretty spot any time of
year. All year is a splendid time in the Northern Cascade Range if you fancy the outdoors. Morse Creek Campground is a great local campground; there's whitewater on Chinook Creek for all you adrenaline kick people. So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Northern Cascade
Range, too perfect to be true. Union Creek Falls is a lovely site to check out while you're at Dewey Lake Trail, and places like Bullion Basin are wonderful to explore. If you're here at Dewey Lake Trail, you could check out Morse Creek, and get your heart pumping on the perfect
whitewater of American River. But wait, there's more to do in close proximity to Dewey Lake Trail. Lodgepole Campground is a brilliant campground nearby; if you desire a little side trip, try Pickhandle Gap.
