Even though this is not a very long hiking and backpacking trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. At parts of the year this vicinity sees very little rain, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Some parts of this backpacking trail are much higher up than other parts of the backpacking trail, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Denney Trail has only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out trek. With its 6 miles of walking distance it's an average length backpacking trail.
