This backcountry trail is not that long but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. There is only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to walk it normally. The number of backpacking trails in this vicinity is not very high. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Denney Trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you  
may need to dress differently at different elevations. You should count on this backcountry walk taking about 5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This backpacking trail is a mid length backpacking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this backpacking trail good for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. This neighborhood does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. With so many outdoors endeavors available in Washington you'll never get bored. It is very dried out here at Denney Trail frequently; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow, and October is when it's the driest.

Beaver Lake Campground is a great local campground, and West Fork Cedar Creek is close to Denney Trail and is always a diversion to check out.
Denney Trail is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Beth Lake Campground is a wonderful place to camp nearby; why not take a little visit to Cedar Creek since you're here.
