Each one of the many hiking and backpacking trails of Washington is worth backcountry hiking. Washington has so much to offer the outdoors lovers. There are many nice hiking and backpacking trails in Washington, and one of those is Davis Peak Lookout Trail in Kittitas County. The total elevation difference for Davis Peak Lookout Trail is 4,439 feet, and that is higher than average. Some parts of this wilderness hiking trail are much higher up than other parts of the wilderness hiking trail,
    so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. The length of Davis Peak Lookout Trail is about average with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a nice wilderness hiking trail for experienced backcountry hikers in great shape. These
hiking trails here in the Northern Cascade Range are a really glorious way to spend quality time in the outdoors. Davis Peak Lookout Trail is a rather wet site ordinarily with a good deal of rain; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow; the driest month of the year is July. There are so many wilderness hiking trails in this region. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. Trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to backcountry hike it normally. This trek shouldn't take more than 6.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Hey, time for a backcountry walk don’t you think? Davis Peak Lookout Trail in Kittitas County, Washington is an excellent place for getting out. Here in Washington backcountry hiking never gets boring. With its 7.4 miles of walking distance it's a mid length backcountry trek. Now this backcountry trail is pretty long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Through the summer months at Davis Peak Lookout Trail highs are commonly in the 60's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. Through the winter this site gets highs in the 20's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Davis Peak Lookout Trail drop into the 10's.

Briefly about the general area:
If you come at the right time of year, Waptus River offers some great whitewater, and it's a good idea to visit Paris Creek. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Cascade Range. Salmon la Sac is always fun to check out, and you can stay the night at Salmon La Sac - Wenatchee National Forest. And that's not all you can do here at Davis Peak Lookout Trail.
Why not explore close by Waptus River since you're here at Davis Peak Lookout Trail, and a short spree to Little Salmon la Sac is always worthwhile. Float down the rapids of Cle Elum River in a kayak. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Davis Peak Lookout Trail has to offer, you can camp at Cayuse Campground.
