Washington hiking trails - Davis Peak Lookout Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Kittitas County       I  hated hiking it but the things I saw were amazing!!!!! It's a lengthy journey from Ellensburg to Davis Peak Lookout Trail, but there's tremendous natural attractiveness awaiting you here along it. Being 7.4 miles long it's a mid length walk. All the water falling down from the sky makes Davis Peak     Lookout Trail a wet place; the wettest month of the year is commonly January, that's the one that snows the most while July is commonly the driest month. Different parts of this great outdoors trail are at very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the great outdoors trail. Trekking in Washington is such a tremendous thing to do. There is only one trailhead, so you'll be backcountry backpacking it in and back out. Throughout the summertime highs here at Davis Peak Lookout Trail reach the 60's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Davis Peak Lookout Trail. The time needed for this walk is roughly 6.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower   and some a bit faster. Cayuse Campground is a magnificent campground nearby; don't leave Davis Peak Lookout Trail without first paying a visit to Salmon la Sac. Yep, outdoors fun things truly is bountiful here in the Northern Cascade Range.
